Lusitano-Nazário has been breeding purebred Lusitanohorses in Portugal for more then ten years.
Since july 2011 a part of the studfarm is settled in Germany.
Inspiring force behind the studfarm is Manuel João Nazário. Born in the Ribatejo, the original area of the Lusitano, he grew up with the tradition of the classical Portuguese equitation. His love for the Lusitanohorse and his knowledge of the different bloodlines, result of the many years he worked at Lusitanostudfarms, make him a passionated and succesfull breeder.
Nowadays one finds Lusitanos of his breeding all over Europe, where they both work with amateurs as with professionals.
Besides a nice character, classical forms and good movements, over the years we have brought more colour into the breeding. We have Lusitanos in the colours isabel, dun, palomino, bay, chestnut and black.
In bloodlines we choose for a mix of Veiga and Nuncio, with some Andrade and Alter. Within the different bloodlines we make a clear selection.
